Organic food is better for the planet, buy ecological food instead! What is organic food and where does it come from? In 2013 Spain was the biggest producer of organic food1 in Europe. I have just visited a small farm in Spain. An ecological farm. The farmer had chickens and several different kinds of vegetables and fruits. She’s a local farmer who provides healthy and organic food for the brilliant people who visit her farm.
In the last couple of years, a lot of Danish farmers have converted their farm from conventional farming to organic farming. When you drive on the country roads in Denmark, you may see a lot of signs saying organic potatoes, strawberries, peas, carrots or something else. The problem is that, in the bigger city’s there aren’t really the same options for local organic foods. Fortunately, in Denmark, we have a lot of organic options in our super markets.
I think that my visit to the local farm, was very educational and interesting. The farmer was very inspiring, I think. We could all learn to eat more healthy, organic and better-quality food and it doesn’t matter if you are from Germany, Denmark, Spain or somewhere else in this world.[1]
